Terms of use

These terms apply when you visit OnFika public pages, browse businesses, create a client account or use OnFika as a client.

Last updated: 26 May, 2025

1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing OnFika or using a feature covered by these terms, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you use OnFika for a business, your business may also be subject to our separate Partner Terms.

OnFika may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms, unless applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.

2. What OnFika provides

OnFika helps clients discover appointment businesses, view services and availability, send booking requests, manage appointments and receive service communications. OnFika also provides software that businesses use to publish information and manage their operations.

Businesses listed on OnFika are independent providers. Their services, prices, availability, facilities, staff, policies and quality are their responsibility. A listing or booking flow does not mean OnFika endorses or guarantees a business.

3. Accounts and accurate information

  • Provide information that is accurate, current and sufficient to complete a booking.
  • Keep login details private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use only your own account and do not create an account for someone else without permission.
  • Update your contact details so appointment confirmations and important notices can reach you.
  • Take responsibility for activity carried out through your account unless it resulted from OnFika’s failure to use reasonable security measures.

4. Bookings, changes and cancellations

A booking is made with the selected business, not with OnFika. The business’s availability, cancellation rules, deposits and no-show policy apply to that booking. OnFika will show relevant information that the business provides, but the business remains responsible for keeping it accurate.

You are responsible for checking the date, time, location, service, professional and price before confirming. If you need to change or cancel, use the available booking controls or contact the business as soon as possible. OnFika cannot guarantee that a business will accept a late change or provide a refund.

5. Payments and refunds

A business may require a deposit, upfront payment or payment at the appointment. The available payment methods, currency, fees and refund rules are shown during the booking or checkout flow where available. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider under that provider’s terms.

If you believe a payment is incorrect or a refund is due, contact the business first. You may also contact OnFika for help with a transaction reference, but the business generally decides the price, refund and cancellation outcome for its services.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use OnFika for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful activity;
  • interfere with the service, probe its security or access accounts, data or systems without permission;
  • submit malicious code, spam, misleading reviews or content that infringes another person’s rights;
  • scrape, copy, mirror or commercially exploit OnFika content or listings without written permission;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with OnFika or a listed business; or
  • use automated tools in a way that burdens or disrupts the service.

7. Content and reviews

You retain rights in content you submit, such as a profile photo or review, but you give OnFika a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce and display it as needed to operate, promote and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

Reviews should be honest, relevant and based on a real experience. OnFika may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, irrelevant, defamatory or inconsistent with these terms. OnFika does not guarantee that every review or business description is accurate.

8. OnFika content and intellectual property

OnFika and its licensors own the software, branding, layout, design, text, graphics and other content provided by OnFika, except for content supplied by businesses or users. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use the service for its intended purpose. No other licence is granted.

9. Third-party services and links

OnFika may connect to payment providers, mapping services, messaging channels, app stores or other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. OnFika is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control, including their availability, content or handling of information.

10. Disclaimers and limits

OnFika is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to keep the service accurate, secure and available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. We do not guarantee the availability, quality, safety, legality or outcome of a business or appointment.

To the extent permitted by law, OnFika is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss caused by a business, payment provider, communication channel, device, network or event outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excludes consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

11. Suspension and contact

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, address security risks or maintain the service. Where practical, we will give notice and restore access when the reason for the suspension is resolved.
